Optoma HD73
How does the Optoma HD73 projector hold up against other projectors on the market today? Well, it is competitive in its own way, but it is certainly not the best choice out there. Since it has only been out on the market for a limited amount of time, there are very few reviews on the subject, and it is difficult to compare it to other projectors just based on the specifications. However, the specifications do have a part in the comparisons you will be making. Price One of the first things you might notice about the Optoma projector HD73 is the price tag. Having been just released the price is still very high on these projectors, and about the cheapest Optoma HD73 home theater DLP projector you can find is $1600. Compared to other projectors this is an average price, however the features on this projector are not high enough to merit such a price tag, especially when the predecessor to the HD73 is cheaper and more reliable. Along with an increased price for the projector itself, the price of parts and accessories is also increased. The price for an Optoma HD73 projector bulb is around $280, and they only last about three thousand hours. The Optoma HD73 projector lamp can be quite costly if you need to keep replacing them. Buying an Optoma HD73 with screen is one of the most reasonable deals you can get on these projectors, but it is still pretty expensive. Finding a discount Optoma HD73 projector is going to be quite the task for a while until they become more popular and more dealerships carry them in stock. LCD Projector There is no Optoma HD73 LCD projector, but so far DLP has proven much nicer when it comes to getting a clear picture. The good news about the HD73 is that it does have color enhancers to take care of any of the little problems that people were having with color saturation in the older models. Overall, the Optoma HD73 is not the best projector on the market by any stretch, but it is competitive. It is slightly over priced for what it is, and since it is so new there is still the possibility of discovering glitches. Paying for parts and accessories for your projector may actually be the thing that breaks the bank, especially due to the high cost of projector bulbs compared to the amount of time that they last.
